Every new prospective cadet is required to complete a three month period of probation, which gives everyone a chance to be sure that membership of the Air Training Corps is right for you.

The ATC can offer you a wide variety of opportunities and experience, some right from the start of your time with us, and others that require more knowledge and experience.

As soon as you become a First Class Cadet you will be eligible to take part in Flying, Gliding, Shooting, Annual and Weekend Camps and visits to RAF stations, Soccer, Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Athletics, Swimming, Adventure Training, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Model Making, and lots more. As your experience increases there are opportunities to participate in such activities as Pilot Training, Alpine and Cross Country Skiing, Parachuting, Hang-Gliding, Overseas Camps, Ten Tors, Leadership Training. In fact, the sky is the limit!

During your career with the Air Training Corps your training will lead you through a series of exams, at the end of which you will qualify for a BTEC Award in Aviation Studies.

Fantastic opportunities, but what do WE want from YOU?

We expect:-

There will always be someone available to talk to about any problems you may experience, and support is part of our way of doing things. We have a policy of Zero Tolerance of any form of bullying.

Sounds good? Then give it a try for a while, and see how you get on - otherwise you will never know.
